My primary degree was undertaken in Edinburgh and the second in London at University College and the Middlesex Hospital Medical School.

I worked in a number of different specialities with registrar and locum registrar posts in 3 other postgraduate areas.

I was senior registrar in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel prior to moving to my consultant post in Cumbria.
