Child Development

Our multidisciplinary team are able to help children and young people with a range of health and developmental problems. These include children with:

• a diagnosed disability
• chronic illness
• special or complex needs

We can also help those who have fallen behind or their developmental milestones.

Your first appointment usually lasts about 1 hour. During the appointment we’ll ask you some questions about your child’s history and assess what their needs are. Together we’ll create a care plan and some goals for your child.

You might also get invited to appointments for:

• a parents and carers group
• joint therapy sessions with other members of our multidisciplinary team
• a review to see how your child is getting on

These could be in a clinic, your home or your child’s nursery or school.
