Children's Community Nursing

We are a specialist nursing team who provide care to children and young people. We deliver most of our services in people's homes. We also work in nurseries, schools, and local clinics.

complex wounds
continence
long term conditions like cancer
oxygen dependent infants and children
technology dependency
tracheostomy

We can also help with:

antibiotic injections
antibiotics that need to be given through a drip
care after surgery
end of life (palliative) care
feeding tubes and devices

How this service works

Our first appointment will be about assessing your child’s needs. Together we’ll create a care plan that will meet their needs and adjust it as their needs change. We might work with them for a few days, several months or until they reach adulthood.

Our aim is to keep children out of hospital as much as possible by giving care closer to home.
